Finance
Accountant
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports.
Manage accounts payable, receivable, invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Analyse financial data and trends to identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities.
Maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end and year-end reconciliations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Assist with audits, tax preparation, budgeting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Use AI tools to automate accounting tasks, analyse data, and improve reporting efficiency.
Leverage AI-assisted insights to identify trends, anomalies, and process improvements.
Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations, technologies, AI tools, and best practices.
Prepare financial reports and provide management with timely feedback and recommendations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Group Financial Controller.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years' proven experience as an Accountant in a similar role.
ICAN certification or relevant professional accounting qualification is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in SageOne Cloud Accounting and MS Office, particularly advanced Excel, is mandatory.
Experience with accounting software, digital financial tools, and AI applications.
Ability to use AI for accounting, analysis, reporting, research, automation, and decision-making.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high professional integrity.
Ability to adapt to emerging accounting technologies, AI tools, and evolving financial practices.
